Friday Foodie Finds #4

It's already the last Friday in July, wowza!

This week, I found the following tasty-looking recipes (all of them vegan, this week) online:

Eva's Autumn Brittle (can be made Vegan by subbing maple syrup for the honey)

Nicole's Vegan, Raw Ice Cream Sandwiches

Virtually Vegan Mama's Vegan Portobello Wellington

Are you more likely to try a sweet or savoury recipe that you find online?

What's the longest amount of time that you would put into preparing a meal for yourself (not a party or a holiday)?

Have you tried any of my Friday Foodie Finds recipes yet (which one)?

  2. The cake looks awesome. I prepare my meal about in 15 minutes, or I by it from fast food or restaurants...I know that is not health habit, but sometimes I am not in the mood of preparing something.
I didn't tried until now any of your recipes as I am new to your blog, but I will do my best!
    Have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks, and thanks for the comment! I'm the same way about rushing food prep sometimes. If I'm hungry, I just want to eat! And I have better things to do than chop food for an hour. Have a great weekend too :)

  3. Those ice-cream sandwiches look reaaaally good. However they need quite a lot of expensive ingredients i don't have like loads of almonds, almond butter, buckwheat groats, coconut oil, avocados... that's what i don't like about vegan cooking! It is expensive and uses loads of non-local foods, uh!

    1. That's so true! That's where heavy substitution comes in - like peanuts and peanut butter instead of almond and almond butter, oats instead of buckwheat groats, etc.

  7. I'm def ten times more likely to try a sweet recipe that I find. I don't have much of a savoury tooth at all.

  11. Ummmm yeah, I need to make that cake or the ice cream sandwich right now! I almost have everything I need for them too except for the coconut oil--I still haven't worked myself up to buying it yet!

    1. If the coconut oil is all that you need, buy it and try them! I can't wait to see how they turn out for you - and the store can't be *that* far away :P
