Friday Foodie Finds #6

Happy Friday!

You can still enter my virgin coconut oil giveaway, so hopefully that makes it even happier :)

Only one of these recipes is vegan, but they're all vegetarian. The vegan one is marked, it's the shiitake green garbanzo pattie (looks good to me). Enjoy!

What are your weekend plans?

What is your favorite type of dessert?

Any tips for walking in heels? I'm fine on the runway, because I know how to look good walking in heels - but I can't really wear them out ever because my feet start to hurt. Help, please!

  1. Hiya sweety...just saw your comment...those flowers are white oriental lilies :)) They also grow in pink which are quite pretty too, but I always like the white ones the most :)) The scent is wonderful xx

    1. Thanks for letting me know! I don't like getting flowers myself, but if I'm looking for flowers to give my mom, I'll have to keep those in mind!

  4. Walking in heels... hmmm... I danced ballet for years and I use the tips I learned from wearing pointe shoes to help me wear heels.
-make sure your toes are flat and spread out in the shoe, with no overlap
-put athletic tape over anything that hurts/blisters
-use moleskin on the heel of the shoe
    -don't lock your knees!

  7. Your photography is impeccable! Those zucchini brownies look scrumptious as do those shiitake patties! I tried a vegan restaurant near my office the other day; and I have to say I am sold at all the creative and delicious recipes that can be concocted from seemingly simple ingredients.

  14. I just found your blog -- so cute! Love these recipes..zucchini brownies? Count me in, definitely want to try those!

Heel tips: Dr. Schools high heel inserts for her work wonders. I use them all the time and they really alleviate a lot of the pressure. I have full inserts and also an insert that only goes under the ball of my foot. Both magic!
