Nevada Manna SF Chocolate Chips Review + GIVEAWAY!

Chocolate chips are so necessary for so much. Without them, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream sundaes, pancakes, cake, and brownies just aren't the same - plus, they make a great addition to smoothies, yogurt messes, homemade granola and granola bars, microwave cakes, french toast, stuffed sweet potatoes, etc.

There really isn't much that adding chocolate chips to doesn't improve!

Unfortunately for diabetics, most chocolate chips aren't super diabetic friendly. When you have to watch your sugar intake strictly to keep blood sugar levels low, that tablespoon of chocolate chips (which, let's be honest, always turns into two or three, or four...) isn't always a good option. And even chocolate chips that are made for diabetics can fall short in flavor or digestibility. They're often full of sugar alcohols, which can cause digestive upset for a lot of people.

With only 1 net carb per serving, these chocolate chips won't mess with even a very sensitive diabetic's blood sugar levels. So pile 'em on!

If you're not diabetic or otherwise in need of controlling your sugar/carb intake, you might want to stick with regular chocolate chips, as sucralose (the stuff that's in splenda) is arguably unhealthy and sugar isn't evil. Still, for a diabetic these chips are a good solution for satisfying that chocolate chip craving.

As far as taste goes, they're surprisingly tasty - not chalky, but chocolaty and rich. They melt nicely both when you use them for baking and when you sprinkle them on warm treats. 

They're perfect on roasted kabocha. Pair with almond butter for sweet, chocolaty perfection!

  3. Chocolate chips make everything better! It's a tough call about the sugar alcohols though. I would much rather eat something with xylitol or erythritol than sucralose, but I guess everyone is different.

  7. I would either put them in chocolate chip cookies or one of my favorite ways to eat them..add them to plain greek yogurt mixed with tablespoon of peanut butter and honey and vanilla!
