(Better) Brownies - Raw Vegan Style!

We're heading into the second week of the shiny New Year and resolutions - like eating healthy, being nice, and texting less than 50 100 times per day - are threatening to break, if they aren't broken yet.

I can't do much about the slow walkers who tempt you to let out your inner snark or the fact that you're battling a severe iPhone addiction (hang in there, we'll fight it together), but I can help prevent fits of hanger and feelings of deprivation!

How? By encouraging you to partake in the above fudgy, sweet, rich, scrumptious brownies.

Before you throw your hands up in the air - 'But Danai! I want to be healthy this year' - let me clarify. These are not your usual from-a-box overly processed and nutritionally void brownies. There's space for those in a healthy diet as an occasional treat, but these are the kinds of brownies that you can eat every day as part of what makes your diet a healthy diet!

As unbelievable as it sounds (and as it seems when you take a bit of these sticky, fudgy bites of amazing) these are very healthy raw vegan and gluten-free treats.

Available for shipping to anywhere in the world from Heather at OrganicRevolution on Etsy, these treats are raw, vegan, soy-free, sugar-free, paleo, gluten-free, all-natural, organic, and delicious!

Freeze them as soon as you receive them, because there are no preservatives in these healthy treats. They're best enjoyed chilled, anyway.

As you head into the second week of the New Year, remember that keeping your resolutions and becoming a healthier, happier, more successful version of yourself isn't about deprivation or self-flagellation. It's all about finding healthier ways to enjoy your favorite treats and healthier alternatives to your favorite activities!

Besides, once you try these raw vegan brownies, you won't want to go back to the boxed ones (at least not when you have this as an alternative). Not only are they healthy and leave you feeling great and not at all stomach-achy or sleepy from sugar, but they're also just plain old delicious!

The same goes for actively choosing to be nicer. You'll find that being more positive towards others makes you feel more positive about yourself. The old adage about smiling ('fake it 'til you make it') holds true for kindness. Pretend to be nicer than you are and soon you'll find that you really are that nice!

What are your New Year's Resolutions this year?

What is your favorite dessert?

What dessert (or food) would you like me to find (and share) a healthier alternative for?
