Recipe: Magnificent Maple Salmon

This recipe is my hands-down top salmon recipe. Whether you're cooking for a long-time salmon lover or someone who is a little warier of the healthy pink fish, the flavorful marinade works excellently with the natural flavors of the fish and makes for a yummy supper!

Best of all, it is actually relatively quick and easy to prepare, so it's a perfect stress-free dinner option for a weeknight or  for when you want to host, but don't have the whole afternoon to spend prepping for your dinner party.

It pairs well with creamed corn and avocado, roasted asparagus and risotto, or similar sides!

Here is the recipe for perfect salmon in just 45 minutes (including a 30 minute marinade)!
Maple Salmon
Serves 4

* 1/4 c. maple syrup
* 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
* 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
* 1 lb. Wild Alaskan Salmon

1) Mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

2) Line a glass dish with aluminum foil. Place the four ~4oz salmon fillets equidistant apart on the tray. It's better to cut the salmon before cooking instead of cooking it in a large 1lb. filet, in order to allow maximum surface area for maximum absorption of the tasty marinade!

3) Spoon the sauce over the salmon, then pack the aluminum foil around it.

4) Refrigerate for 30 minutes, flipping the salmon once. Do not marinade salmon for more than 30 minutes! Food safety first!

5) Unfold the aluminum and bake the salmon, uncovered but still on the aluminum for easy clean-up, in a preheated 400F oven for 20 minutes, until easily flaked with a fork.

Enjoy!
